UDT-Seal Association

This month’s unique custom military challenge coin was created for the members of the UDT-SEAL Association – an independent veteran’s support organization for United States Navy personnel. This custom challenge coin was selected for its inspired design that represents this organization’s dedication to its members and their families.

As a non-profit Veterans Support Organization, the UDT-SEAL Association consists of U.S. Navy personnel who have served, or are currently serving in the Naval Special Warfare community. This includes personnel who have served in SEAL Teams, Office of Strategic Services-Maritime Unit, Naval Combat Demolition Units, Underwater Demolition Teams, Amphibious Scouts and Raiders, SEAL Delivery Vehicle, Special Boat Teams, and Naval Special Warfare Combat Support/Combat Service Support Technicians.

The UDT-SEAL Association’s mission is to support all active duty, veteran, and retired personnel who have served in Naval Special Warfare.  They also inspire and encourage service in Naval Special Warfare and support the health and welfare of all members and their families.  Social camaraderie is promoted in order to bring every member toward a closer, personal relationship and friendly spirit of mutual cooperation.  The program has also created the Membership Life Assistance Program, (MLAP) in order to improve the quality of life of its members.  This MLAP serves as an advocate for veteran members by providing liaisons with existing services in response to the membership’s needs.

Custom US Navy Unit Coin

This custom unit coin is of the most popular size and shape: a two inch diameter round coin.  It’s finished in polished brass with a diamond cut swirl that gives it a very sophisticated look.  The surface is coated with epoxy to keep its design features in pristine condition for generations to come.

The front of the coin has the United States Navy SEAL insignia in brass, with the familiar sea eagle, trident, and anchor all superimposed over a stars and stripes background.  The back of the coin is white in the background and has the UDT-SEAL Associations unique logo centered, with the words “UDT-SEAL ASSOCIATION” and “NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE” on a concentric black background at the edge of the coin.
